About Us
Where Wisdom and Focus Meet
A new firm. Decades of experience. Zero compromise.
FoxHedge Advisors is new by name, but not by experience. Our team comes with deep roots in the financial services industry, built over years of working within larger firms and learning exactly what works, what doesn't, and what clients truly deserve. We founded FoxHedge to do things differently, to take everything we've earned and learned and build something better around it.
We believe the biggest obstacle standing between most people and financial confidence isn't a lack of money, it's a lack of clarity. Too many people come to us feeling overwhelmed, underserved by big firms, or quietly unsure whether their current strategy is actually working. That ends here.
FoxHedge specializes in two main areas: personalized wealth management and employer-sponsored retirement plans. Whether you're an individual building long-term wealth, planning to retire on your own terms, or a business owner trying to offer your employees a retirement plan they'll actually use, we bring the same education-first, forward-thinking approach to every relationship.

The Name
FoxHedge is inspired by the famous metaphor of the Fox and the Hedgehog which evolved into viewing the world's thinkers into two types: the fox, who knows many things and draws on a wide range of ideas, and the hedgehog, who knows one big thing and pursues it with total conviction.
Neither is better. The fox brings adaptability, curiosity, and breadth. The hedgehog brings depth, focus, and an unwavering north star. The tension between them is actually what makes great thinking, and great advising.
We built FoxHedge around that same belief. Our clients deserve an advisor who holds both: the hedgehog's singular commitment to your financial goals, and the fox's ability to navigate the full complexity of real financial life, markets, taxes, retirement plans, life changes, and everything in between.
Why We Started This Firm
We started FoxHedge because we believe individuals and employees can benefit from greater access to thoughtful, personalized financial guidance. Our goal is to provide clear, objective advice designed to help clients better understand their financial options and make informed decisions.
We wanted to build a firm that brings a thoughtful, consultative approach to financial planning and investment advice for individuals and organizations. That's why FoxHedge does advisory business through IHT Wealth Management, an independent, fee-only registered investment adviser. We do not receive commissions for the sale of financial products, and our advisory services are designed to be guided by our clients' financial goals and objectives.
What Drives Us
Our founder's path into financial services didn't begin with a textbook. It began with his grandfather, a math and history teacher with a deep passion for the financial markets. Those conversations gave him something most people never have: a trusted mentor who made the complex approachable and taught him that markets aren't just numbers, they're human stories repeating themselves across generations. As the saying goes, history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. Learning to balance the rigor of mathematics with the lessons of history continues to shape how our firm approaches every client relationship.
We came to realize just how rare that experience is. Most people never have a trusted guide to demystify personal finance, and that absence has real consequences. Closing that gap has become the driving force behind everything we do at FoxHedge, from the way we explain a retirement plan to a first-time employee to the way we help a longtime investor feel genuinely confident about their future.

For Retirement Plan Sponsors
If you're a business owner, CFO, or HR leader responsible for your organization's retirement plan, you need more than a vendor, you need a fiduciary partner who takes that responsibility as seriously as you do.
FoxHedge serves as either a 3(21) or 3(38) fiduciary, depending on what level of shared or delegated investment responsibility best fits your plan. Our retirement plan services span the full lifecycle of plan stewardship: investment lineup design, vendor selection, RFP assistance, and ongoing plan governance. And perhaps most importantly, we bring specialized experience in participant education, because a retirement plan your employees don't understand or engage with isn't doing its job.

A Small Firm, By Design
We're a small, focused team, and that's intentional. When you work with FoxHedge, you get senior-level expertise, genuine relationships, and an advisor who makes sure you understand your plan, not just follow it. The expectations people have of their financial advisors are evolving. We didn't leave a larger firm to do the same thing in a smaller office. We left to build something the industry actually needs, and to bring that directly to you.
FoxHedge is headquartered in the Portland, Oregon area, and the Pacific Northwest is where our roots run deepest. That said, we've been honored to build relationships with clients across the country, wherever the right fit exists, geography doesn't have to stand in the way.
